Stephen Garrett is a musician, software engineer, and product manager. His career has spanned traditional enterprise software development to product development at two music technology startups. A classically-trained percussionist, Garrett holds a B.M. in Instrumental Music Performance and a B.S. in Information Technology from Georgia Southern University. He earned an M.S. in Human Computer Interaction from Georgia Tech where he explored the intersection of computing and music.

Currently, Garrett is a Research Scientist working on bringing new features to the EarSketch platform as well as designing tools to aid the invention process with K-12 Inventure. He also regularly consults with small businesses on technology vision and new hardware and software product development.
